Constructing Meaningful Blog Posts
I have struggled with this idea and not spent adequate time in building a strategy for writing meaningful and thoughtful blog posts.
So here is a rambling walk and my thoughts on the subject, as they occur to me, while I type:
##Doing it deliberately. Spend a fixed (measured) duration of time, writing. Don't worry about the destination, but go ahead and start your journey. You'll come up with strange thoughts, but these could later be culled, pruned and tweaked into a decent post, which is genuinely thoughtful, intentionally crafted and built with intention.
##Outline Ideas - As They Occur As you randomly drift around in your head, you can quickly jot down the ideas and put it into a file. Maybe I can do this for about a few minutes, rapidly scribble down all the ideas, "as they occur".
If you feel this is too loosely structured, keep trying and maybe some other methods will pop-up and you can use those too.
##Yes, but What if none of these above mentioned "techniques" don't throw up any path-breaking or new ideas. So be it. Let's not get bogged down, with the lack of quality of ideas, go for the numbers. So have more of 'em, and eventually a good one will show up. Then you can catch it, and do what you've been dreaming about.
##Firstly, write, only when done, we move to step two So this kind of random conversation, might happen more often, but after about thousand such random posts, you'll hit gold, maybe that will be just a fragment of an idea, but that gem will eventually come. Trust me on that. So till then, keep on journeying.
##Any words of wisdom, for the current situation How do I keep myself afloat in the environment, where too many things are demanding my attention. Keep doing stuff. The doing includes practicing the craft deliberately and consistently. Have a list of writing drills and exercises, you can keep your ideas file handly for more on those.
##Be yourself bro Trust yourself and allow yourself to be you. The authenticity will help in the long run.
